My Boyfriendís Late!

During vacation my boyfriend worked a lot.  He would come over before he had to go to work and then come back over when he got out of work. On Saturday, he was supposed to come over again.  I had planned that he and I go out to dinner with my parents.  He thought I had gone out with my sister and because of that, he didnít show up at the time I expected him.  He also had lost his cell phone.

My parentís were waiting for us to arrive at a restaurant about 30 minutes away.  I waited for my boyfriend for about 40 minutes but it felt like forever.  I kept saying, ďWhatís good about this?Ē  By asking myself this question, I got some reasons that I was glad he was late.  It would give him less time to get the third degree when he would meet my dad, I had a little more time to cool off and a little more time to search for his cell phone.

Luckily, I found the phone, cooled off and my dad didnít bust on my boyfriend because he didnít have as much time.  I guess now that I look at it, it was my fault because my boyfriend didnít even know that he was meeting my parents.  The good news for me is that I had a simple but awesome strategy to get me through the waiting process.

ďIím grateful for all my problems.  As each of them was overcome, I became stronger and more able to meet those yet to come.

 I grew on my difficulties.Ē
